Q NOTICE: Disconnect the computer and any attached devices from electrical outlets.

(J) NOTICE: To avoid ESD, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by touching an unpainted metal surface on the computer.

(J) NOTICE: Read "'Before You Begin" before performing the following procedure.

1. Remove the battery.

2. Remove the keyboard.

3. Remove the palm rest.

4. Remove the M2 x 4-mm screw that secures the speaker to the bottom case. Xa NOTE: The left and right speakers are interchangeable.

M2 x 4-mm screw (1 per speaker)



speaker cable (1 per speaker)

Q NOTICE: Do not pull on the speaker cable. Pull from the speaker connector to disconnect the cable.

5. Disconnect the speaker cable from the system board connector.

Q NOTICE: Handle the speakers with care to avoid damaging them.

6. Remove the speaker by pulling it straight up and out of the bottom case.
